Mother’s Day Wildflower Walk

May 12 @ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

May 12 | 1 – 3 pm
FREE | Register Here

A casual outing to search for and enjoy spring wildflowers along the NBNC trails in celebration of Mother’s Day. We’ll look for trillium, bloodroot, toothwort, Dutchman’s breeches, and other charming and colorful announcements of spring in Vermont. Facilitated by NBNC Mother-Daughter Duo Naomi Heindel and her mother, Judy Chaves, who have been appreciating spring wildflowers together for decades.

Accessibility:
This outing covers between 0.25 and .6 miles. The trails are 3-to-6-foot-wide grass paths over compacted dirt. The trails are nearly flat with no cross-grade. One 20’ section of the trail has a 10% grade over a 100’ distance, and can be avoided. There are several benches along the route. Please let us know ahead of the program how we can better accommodate your accessibility needs. More info.

Our Shared Commitment

Take care of yourself. Take care of others. Take care of the earth.
We strive to help people feel welcomed, oriented to the landscape, engaged, inspired, safe, and part of our community. We ask that our visitors and participants share this commitment while at North Branch Nature Center and during our programs. We expect that all who enter this shared space do so in the spirit of welcoming kindness, inclusivity, respect, and curiosity.
