“The Power of Water” follows the story of Bob King, a New Hampshire entrepreneur whose life’s work has been rehabilitating old abandoned dams to produce clean energy. Along the way, the film explores the history of hydropower in New England, the ongoing transition away from dirty fossil energy, the importance of land conservation, and how we all can be part of the solution as we face these challenges together.

Let your kids be kids at NBNC. Our "Treksplorers" program offers kids a program fully immersed in nature, exploring the woods, fields and streams near NBNC. Play stealth and awareness games, learn outdoor skills and develop a sense of community with peers.
Through tracking, camera trapping, and quiet observation we can peer into the lives of NBNC's most secretive animals: foxes, felines, ravens, beavers, bears, and more. In this presentation, we'll go on a virtual exploration of the ecosystem to visit some of its wildest creatures and most interesting stories.
Bizarre and spectacular creatures hide in plain sight all around us because they are too small to see without magnification. In this class we will go on a micro-safari, hunting down these hidden microorganisms using microscopes and capturing them through observational drawing.
