NBNC is the place to be after school!
Since 2012, children have been coming to NBNC weekly to adventure, learn, and play after school. High-quality afterschool programs expand children’s social circles, introduce them to trusted adults, and – at NBNC – immerse them in the natural world at a time when parents are searching for an alternative to screens as an afternoon childcare solution.
This is why we’re excited to announce that, thanks to the support of a few generous donors, we have slashed the price for our afterschool program by 80% to make it more financially accessible for local families – just $100/session!
Across the 12-week session, Afterschool at NBNC includes tracking, foraging, cooking over a fire, storytelling, cooperative games, and expeditions to the river and the forest. These adventures employ a model of playful experiential education where children learn by activating all of their senses and building a sense of belonging in a community of their peers.
2026 Fall Afterschool Session
Tuesdays, 3:00 – 5:30 pm | September 15 – December 8 | For Grades 1 – 6
12 weeks | (No session November 24th for Thanksgiving Week)
Cost: $100 | Financial Support Available (don’t hesitate to request support; we work hard to ensure that finances are not a barrier to youth nature connection)
Families may enroll in a prorated partial season if space is available.
