Have you ever wanted to walk in the footsteps of a fox? How about lay in a coyote bed or study the tiny toes of a field mouse? In this new winter break program for students ages 9 and up, we will spend the day exploring wildlife tracks and signs. Participants can expect to spend the majority of the session out in the woods following animal trails, learning track identification skills and telling stories around a fire. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of time to play games and make new friends along the way! No experience required, just a love of animals and desire to learn. Students should bring a lunch and clothing to be outside for the entire program. Taught by NBNC Teacher-Naturalist Dave Muska and AmeriCorps Naturalist Educator Ana Maria Arroyo.
