The Champlain Valley is one of New England’s premier inland destinations for winter birdwatching. Join NBNC’s Birding Ambassador and guide Chip Darmstadt on a trip to explore the shores, fields, and forests of the Champlain Valley in search of eagles, waterfowl, raptors, snow buntings, winter finches, and more. We’ll finish the program with an evening search for elusive owls in Addison County. A full-day exploration of avian winter ecology. Spotting scopes and binoculars available.
The van will depart from NBNC in Montpelier at 9 am, but participants can arrange for pickup or drop-off in Burlington.
