Ecological Belonging: Wild Healing BIPOC Affinity Group Workshop

This workshop is not just about reclaiming ancestral knowledge. It’s about healing the ancestral trauma that separated many of us from that knowledge in the first place. For good, survival-based reasons, many BIPOC communities were taught to fear the land: to see it as dangerous, to stay away from it, to avoid it. The forest was an escape, but also a threat. This workshop invites us to unlearn that fear together, in safety, with the people next to us, and to re-integrate into relationships with land and each other.
Part of Ecological Belonging, a free workshop series to reconnect with the land and find wellness in nature with Visiting-Teacher Naturalist Brooke Bridges.
