Learn how to eco-print! No experience is needed for this accessible and sustainable program exploring the shapes and colors of botanicals by eco-printing on cloth with natural plant dyes. Participants will use a cotton bandana, botanicals, and time to create wearable works of art. While we are waiting for the dye to steam, participants will explore painting with botanical watercolors on paper.
This workshop is taught by our first Visiting Teacher-Naturalist at NBNC, Noelani Jones. Noelani will also be offering a second Eco-Printing workshop on the same day from 10 am – 12:30 pm and two drop-in Open Studio sessions on May 16 and May 17. Check our calendar for more details.
