Monitoring and Managing Ash Trees: Finding lingering ash for emerald ash borer resistance breeding
Rescheduled to August 1 | 10 am – 1 pm | @ North Branch Nature Center
Free | Registration Required
PROGRAM FULL
The Ecological Research Institute, in collaboration with the North Branch Nature Center and the Vermont Land Trust, will be presenting a free workshop on how you can participate in the Monitoring and Managing Ash (MaMA) program to enable detection of “lingering ash” that can be used to breed trees resistant to the emerald ash borer, providing hope for ash conservation.
Lingering ash can only be found if the right scientific data are collected and ash are managed so these trees can persist. You’ll learn how to collect the data and also how to incorporate lingering ash detection into ash/emerald borer management strategies.
Questions? Email them to [email protected]. For more information on MaMA, visit www.MonitoringAsh.org.
