About Dr. Opeyemi Parham
Dr. Opeyemi Parham (Dr. O) is a retired family physician, and a writer, teacher, healing artist, interfaith minister, and community activist. She specializes in women’s reproductive health and healing through nature.
Dr. O is also the donor of Dot’s Place, NBNC’s yurt. Dr. O used her inheritance from her aunt Dot, who loved nature but was unable to fulfill her dream of farming, to purchase the yurt to serve as a nature-based affinity space for BIPOC folks in Vermont. After Dot’s Place was displaced from its original location by the July, 2023 flood, Dr. O generously donated it to NBNC to continue to fulfill this dream of nature connection for BIPOC Vermonters. |
