Spring Birding at Berlin Pond (South Side)

May 24 @ 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Friday May 24 | 7 – 9 AM | FREE
At Berlin Pond (South Side)
Part of our Friday morning spring birding series
Sponsored by Stone Environmental

A casual morning of birding for all interests and experience levels facilitated by NBNC staff and guest leaders. These outings are about enjoying, learning about, and spending time with wild birds. No binoculars? No ID guide? No problem! The only requirement is an appreciation of birds (though we do have binoculars for those who would like them).

Location: Mirror Lake Road, along the South end of Berlin Pond (the far end). Please follow instructions for parking when you arrive.
Distance: This outing will cover between 0.5 and 1 mile.
Terrain and surface: Much of the outing will be along Mirror Lake Road, a well-maintained dirt road that is flat near the pond, but grades uphill >10% to the west. Please let us know ahead of the program how we can better accommodate your accessibility needs.
Spring 2024 Friday Morning Birding Series:
May 3 – NBNC
May 10 – Sodom Pond (Calais)
May 17 – Catamount Outdoor Family Center (Williston)
May 24 – Berlin Pond – South End
May 31 – NBNC

Our Shared Commitment

Take care of yourself. Take care of others. Take care of the earth.
We strive to help people feel welcomed, oriented to the landscape, engaged, inspired, safe, and part of our community. We ask that our visitors and participants share this commitment while at North Branch Nature Center and during our programs. We expect that all who enter this shared space do so in the spirit of welcoming kindness, inclusivity, respect, and curiosity.
