The NBNC Team

As a recent college graduate, Sofie found herself drawn back home to the Green Mountains after spending the past four years in Upstate New York at St. Lawrence University. Growing up in Vermont, she spent most of her childhood in the woods of Elmore, making potions with her sister and romping around in the stream behind their house. It was this upbringing that inspired a love for the natural world and an eagerness to share her excitement with the next generation. With over ten years of experience working with children and now a BA in Environmental Studies and Economics, Sofie found the perfect combination of her two passions at North Branch Nature Center, 25 minutes from where she grew up. As the newest member of the team, she looks forward to developing her skills and spending lots of time outside learning with NBNC’s wonderful staff! Some of Sofie's favorite outdoor activities include mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking with friends.
