Originally from Massachusetts, Julia spent her early years searching for crabs and minnows on the shores of Cape Cod and found solace exploring the woods of her suburban backyard. After high school, Julia moved west to the Colorado Rocky Mountains and spent 9 years immersed in high alpine landscapes and adventuring around the deserts of Utah.

Julia studied Early Childhood Education at Colorado Mountain College and is passionate about incorporating her love of the natural world with young children. After teaching in preschool classrooms and at nature centers, Julia earned a Montessori teaching credential at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies and spent many years in the classroom before transitioning into administration.
