Originally from a few hours southeast of the North Branch of the Winooski River, recently living on the eastern coast, and always returning to these fields, Catherine has been an environmental educator for nearly 15 years.

Childhood exploration in the woods and wetlands sparked a love for wildlife and time spent outdoors that Catherine has carried with her in roles like seasonal educator, administrative support, and a youth program manager of community-embedded programming.

With a Masters of Education in Ecological Teaching and Learning from Lesley University, Catherine feels very lucky to have taken her daily work in this direction! She’s just as excited to bring nature connection (and that spark of love for our collective habitat) to others as she is to access it on her own. Knowing that not everyone has the same safe experience in the outdoors, Catherine is excited to promote safe and equitable access to nature for all as she shares her love of the outdoors.

Catherine lives in Montpelier and loves playing outside, tracking and nature ID challenges, working with children, learning from others’ lived-experiences, watercoloring, and being with her beloved friends, family, nieces and nephews.
