Contact Annie

Annie’s fascination with the natural world began at a young age, playing among the moss and maple trees in the woods behind her house, helping her mom in her giant vegetable garden, and adventuring up mountains and down rivers throughout Vermont. Through her summers spent living outside as a camper and later a counselor at a wilderness camp, Annie came to appreciate the unique power the natural world holds to connect us with deeper aspects of ourselves and one another. After a venture into the healthcare world as a Nursing student at the University of Vermont, Annie moved to coastal Maine, where she switched her focus to Elementary Education. While in Maine, she created connections with the community and the land running a small landscaping business, volunteered with local conservation organizations and spent hours wading in tidepools with groups of kids at a local Ecology school. Annie is very excited to be back in Vermont spending her days outside with the talented educators and incredible kids at North Branch Nature Center! When she's not in the woods or by the water at NBNC, Annie enjoys playing fiddle tunes, hiking, catching sunsets over Lake Champlain and sharing meals and laughter with friends.
