Drop-in program – stay as long as you’d like!

The arrival of Spring across Vermont is marked by wandering skunks, sunny days, freezing nights… and billowing steam from many a sugar-shack, pot, and backyard evaporator! Gather with us at NBNC in the local tradition of community sap boils. We’ll stay warm by the fire, enjoy sweet mapley treats, and learn about the science and history of maple sugaring.
We’ll have the evaporator boiling all evening – bring your own sap to add, or just enjoy some samples (and thank your neighbors for the sap!). We’ll have a grill available too for folks who want to stick around through dinner hours. At the end of the night, you’re welcome to bring home some hot sap to finish on the stove, or we’ll finish it here and you can pick up a portion later.
