ACH Payments

What is an ACH payment?

An ACH payment is a type of electronic bank-to-bank payment. The ACH system is a way to transfer money between bank accounts, rather than going through card networks or using wire transfers, paper checks, or cash. Examples of ACH payments include direct deposit payments to employees, bill payments made with a bank account, and online payments made to the IRS. In order to process an ACH payment, all we need is the same information provided on every paper check: bank name, routing number and account number.

What is the process for scheduling an ACH Payment?

Once you have submitted your ACH Debit Authorization Form, we will contact you via email to schedule your payment. We will only process ACH payments with your permission, and we will only use this payment method for programs authorized by you on the ACH authorization form.

NBNC will always provide at least one week of notice prior to an ACH collection in order to give time to make scheduling changes as needed.

Can I still pay by check?

Yes! If you would like to pay via check, please reach out to let us know.
