Gather in NBNC’s Conservation Nursery for a garden party and tree planting! Bring a potluck dish to share, enjoy a casual community gathering, then roll up your sleeves to help plant maple trees. A beautiful way to be Rooted in Community this fall!

This nursery was created in 2024 with the goal of bringing people together to learn how to cultivate plants for ecological restoration. Two and a half years later, we’re ready to plant our first saplings to help restore the NBNC floodplain to a functioning forest!

Rooted in Community is a NBNC volunteer program to bring people together over a shared love of building community, connecting deeper to place, and giving back to the earth through stewardship. Join us to connect over food, company of neighbors, and a shared responsibility for giving back to this place we call home.
