Please join us for our third annual Earth Day tree planting event! We will spend time together giving back to the earth by planting trees and shrubs to restore our riparian floodplain. Our efforts will improve habitat for the many species who frequent this area and buffer against flood damage and erosion.

We will be joined by partner organization Hunger Mountain Co-op, who will be presenting an exciting opportunity to join their Member Volunteer Program and offering an orientation to the program.

Where: Meet at the NBNC trailhead. From there, we will head out to the field and floodplain for planting. Follow the “Earth Day Tree Planting” signs from the NBNC parking lot.

We will provide snacks, but we recommend bringing the following:

• Sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots
• Gloves (we have several pairs to loan)
• Long pants recommended to protect from insect bites and scratches
• Water and snacks (We will have water to refill water bottles)
• Sunscreen/ bug spray
• Earth day enthusiasm!
