Lia is from Syracuse, New York and has been in and out of Vermont for the past seven years. Both a graduate of the University of Vermont (Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, and an Anthropology minor) and a perennial AmeriCorps member, Lia loves gaining knowledge and technical expertise in as many avenues of conservation as possible. Lia has done seasonal fieldwork in aquatic ecology, forestry, and restoration for the past four years throughout Vermont and New England, and with one winter season in northern Nevada. Lia always finds a home in Vermont, and will forever love doing place-based, community-oriented conservation work in this state. You can find her writing, biking, or finding good music to listen to.
