Success Stories in Riparian Restoration Plantings (Field Trip)

October 18 @ 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

October 18 |  Free | 2 pm at Dog River Park (aka Water Street Park) in Northfield.

Part of Dog River Day
Part of our Resilient Rivers Series

A visit to successful riverside tree planting projects along the Dog River several years later! Many local conservation organizations plant trees in degraded riparian areas, to help regenerate a new and healthy forest over time. Yet few people recognize when they’re standing among the results of a past planting! This outing will showcase good practices and effective strategies for tree planting. Presented by Friends of the Winooski River as part of the Dog River Day festivities.
