Wild Adirondacks Trip (For Youth and Teens)
July 12 @ 4:00 PM - July 14 @ 5:00 PM$225
In the heart of the Adirondack Mountains lies a wonderland of opportunities for experiencing the wild northern forest. From our base camp on the shore of Rollins Pond, we will visit ancient boreal forests, search for bog-nesting birds, catch elusive dragonflies, canoe the Racquette River, and explore the alpine summits of Whiteface Mountain.
Our journey then takes us to The Wild Center (the flagship natural history museum of the Adirondacks), where we will meet river otters and explore the forest canopy on an elevated catwalk installed through the treetops.
On Sunday afternoon, we’ll tour the nature center at Paul Smith’s College and visit the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge before returning to NBNC on Sunday evening.
