Program for 9th-12th graders
A smorgasbord of woodsy crafting:
We’ll first collect sap and fire up the evaporator to make some sweet maple treats. While that’s cooking, students will get expert instruction in using hatchets and saws and knives (oh my!) and take on larger carving projects like rustic furniture. Before our closing maple treat, we’ll give back and practice stewardship by taking cuttings from native trees and shrubs to grow in our conservation nursery.
Led by Naomi Cocker, Annie Jackson and Ash Kerby-Miller
Open to 9th-12th graders. Stay tuned for a TBD Teen skills workshop in April.
