This presentation will cover the essentials of selecting, installing, and using trail cameras to monitor wildlife in natural areas or in your back yard.  We’ll cover tips for success, followed by a collection of some of the best photographs and video clips captured in the Saint Michael’s College Natural Area on the border of Essex and Colchester and from sites in South Burlington.

About the Presenter:  Declan McCabe is a professor of biology at Saint Michael’s College where he teaches courses in ecology, evolution, and writing in the biological sciences.  A freshwater ecologist by training, Declan studies and uses the broad lessons of natural history in his teaching, research, and writing.  He and his students have been using trail cameras for research projects and courses for the last five years.
