Praise for the book:

“I have only scratched the surface, but this book is even more spectacular than I could have ever imagined. Beyond a mere field guide, Jerry Jenkins’s extraordinary illustrations and insights represent an entirely new genre in natural history literature.” Charles D. Canham, forest ecologist and author of Forests Adrift

“This is one of the finest guides of its kind that I’ve seen. The identification sections for trees, shrubs, and vines are definitively detailed and illustrated. Covering an extensive geographical range and paired with exhaustive ecological information, there isn’t need for another resource on the topic.” Donald J. Leopold, SUNY ESF
