BioU: Vermont Owls – Presentation

December 6 @ 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

By Donation

Owls rank among nature’s most captivating creatures. Vermont’s owls include fearsome nocturnal predators, iconic visitors from the high arctic, and stealthy migrants who pass through our backyards by the hundreds, noticed by neither man nor mouse. In this presentation, learn about the fascinating ecology, unique morphology, surprising life history, and key identification strategies of all of our state’s owl species. We will discuss techniques for finding owls, and share local hotspots for finding them. Presented by expert birder and NBNC naturalist Zac Cota.  Admission by donation. This program is followed by a Field Trip on Saturday, 12/8. Please see our Calendar to sign up.
